Turning back the clock to April in Kauii

Hey there everyone, Dan is finally teaching me how to post. So we are going back to April, to share with you a summary of our vacation in Kauii. We were privileged to go with Dan's folks, sisters, and brother and their spouses with children, as well as my mom. Kauii is very relaxing especially listening to the waves come in.

Thought you all would like some facts; a banana tree only produces a cluster of bananas once, and then they chop the tree down.
These bananas were at a local fruit stand. I thought it was neat seeing them still on the stalk.

One day the parents and us, hopped on an inter-island flight to visit Pearl Harbor. It was a sobering experience to visit the Arizona, yes it is true, oil is still coming out of the vessel. We also got to go inside the U.S.S Bowfin, which sunk more weight then the Japanese sunk at Pear Harbor.

Dan went boogie boarding, I tried but it is very hard to get out to the waves without getting washed up, the surf is very powerful. So I decided to catch the rays instead.

The folks were troopers they tried to boogie board, dad got out in the surf, but mom decided like me that the sun rays were much easier to catch!

You guys got some awesome pictures of the trip! Can you believe it's already been 1/3 of a year since our trip? I'll tell you what- I could definitely use a little more of that sunshine!
